This section is for you guys so you can get to know your emcee a little better.

"The Irishman"

With beer in hand, and a cigarette tucked behind his ear, this young man has successfully brought Last Call Denver up to the pace of our major competitors. 


He's a local boy who claims "to be too Irish for his own good".  He drinks, he has a keen affection for corned beef and whiskey, and when he sweats he smalls like cabbage.  OK, that last part was a joke, but he loves to drink and be the center of attention in a crowd.


An avid "triviaholic", he got started in the industry after getting into a battle of wits with a DJ at a bar one night, and realized that he could do it himself.  His sharp tongue, and dry sarcastic humor combine to make a volatile mixture, similar to something you would get if you combined Dennis Leery, Sam Kinison, a pack of Camel cigarettes, and a bottle of Jamison in a blender and hit frappe'.  Throw in a little Heavy Metal, for flavor and you've got one hell of a mixed drink.  His unique vernacular and a certain creativity for swear words gives him the ability to force a smile on anyone, and make them scratch them head, all the while insulting their intelligance at the same time.  Just don't give him Tequila.  If you do, be somewhere else.

When he's not hosting, he spends his time with his family.  Yes, he's a family man!  SHOCKING! I know.  What's even more shocking, is that he reproduced.  He's the recent proud father a little girl.  She's absolutely adorable, so obviously she got her mother's good looks, cause he's a "goofy lookin' bastard".  Relax, he told me to say that.  Let's hope his daughter inherited her mother's attitude, because I don't think the world can handle a second Patrick.

"THE Loyd"

                      

AVOID THE NOID!  But by all means DO NOT avoid "THE Loyd"!  Chris is one of our "seasoned" veterian Emcees.  He was only the second Emcee to join up with Last Call back in the summer of 2009.  "I've been playing trivia at bars for years, and I always thought it would be a fun gig.  When you spend time doing it every week, why not get paid for it? Know what I mean?" he's quoted in saying.  He's been a valued asset to Last Call, specilizing in bringing out the bar lively crowd at night, in the mild mannered family eatery by day. 

When he's not entertaining his friends (and he has TONS!), getting perfect strangers to become his friends, and pretending he knows all the answers... he's a devoted husband to his amazingly beautiful and loving wife of almost 2 years Nicole.  This soon to be father, enjoys reading, watching one of the MANY Denver sports teams and playing softball.  This is starting to sound like a bad personal ad LOL!  

He's a bartender by day (YES HE MAKES A WICKED MAI TAI!). Tending the bar gives him the exquisite pallet to enjoy a nice Scotch, or Gin, as well as being a connoisseur of the Great Dark Beers. He's got a few degrees, which makes him a perfect Emcee for trivia, so check him out while we still have him, as he's gonna teach college literature one day.
